Fenugreek has been a natural remedy for hair loss for centuries. Fenugreek has the effect of reducing balding, hair fall, and hair thinning. For hair fall and dandruff, fenugreek has been found to restore the hair shaft. The seeds contain hormone precursors that replenish hair growth, and active ingredients, called glycosidal saponins, which reduce inflammation. Additionally, fenugreek seeds are a good source of protein. Protein is highly important in rebuilding and strengthening the hair shaft. Doctors and herbalists have also indicated that fenugreek contains a large amount of lecithin, a natural emollient known to strengthen and moisturize hair.

GINKGO BILOBA (Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract)

Many herbalists and hair care specialists recommend using ginkgo biloba to prevent and slow down hair loss, and even boost hair re-growth. Because ginkgo biloba stimulates blood circulation, this herbal remedy is thought to be effective for promoting hair re-growth and improving the quality of the hair. PEPPERMINT (Mentha Piperita Oil)

Peppermint’s balancing action regulates the production of oil which is helpful in cases of dry or oily hair. The active constituent of peppermint, found in the leaves and flowering tops, is menthol.

 

MYRRH (Commiphora Myrhha Oil)

Myrrh Extract, a natural plant-based resin, is widely recognized for its powerful capacity to hold and coat the hair and add shine. The three main active constituents of myrrh are the resin, the gum, and the volatile oil.

 

NETTLES (Urtica Dioica)

Nettles has been shown in clinical studies by Dr. Vogal, a Swiss herbalist known throughout the world, to inhibit 5-Alpha Reductase. It also possesses stimulating qualities that increase the circulation of the scalp in vitamins A and C, as well as a wide range of minerals, mucilages and amino acids which are required for proper hair growth.

 

ROSEMARY (Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract)

Rosemary has been shown to promote increased circulation as well as help remove dandruff and sebum accumulations on the scalp. When used in hair products, it not only has a stimulating effect, but also conditions the hair and scalp.

 

SAGE (Salvia Officinalis Leaf Extract)

Sage’s potent antiseptic and astringent components makes it a useful conditioner for the hair. Additionally, it thickens and strengthens compromised hair shafts. It contains rosmarinic acid that has good antioxidant properties, which are reinforced by the picrosalvin also found in sage. Furthermore it has antimicrobial and antiviral effects and is often used in hair care for combating greasy and oily hair, by regulating the sebum production of the scalp.

 

SAW PALMETTO (Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract)

The liposterolic (fat-soluble) extract of saw palmetto provides concentrated amounts of free fatty acids and sterols. One study with a saw palmetto extract suggests that it reduces the amount of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Free testosterone traveling through the bloodstream is able to enter hair follicles and be converted to DHT, a hormone that causes male pattern hair loss. Test tube studies also suggest that saw palmetto weakly inhibits the action of 5-alpha- reductase, the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to DHT. Saw Palmetto is very effective at blocking the formation of DHT and appears to block the androgen receptors which are found on the hair follicles. It blocks Type 1 and Type 2 forms of 5 alpha-reductase.

 

SEA KELP (Macrocystis Pyrifera)

Kelp can influence how long hair stays in the dormant state before it re-enters a growth state. Kelp is an excellent source of B-complex vitamins and minerals such as iodine, magnesium, zinc and calcium. Sea kelp is also very high in vitamin K. The combination of vitamins and minerals in sea kelp makes it extremely nutritional, and may help to grow hair faster.

 

WILD CHERRY BARK (Prunus Serotina Bark Extract)

Wild cherry bark contains agents that condition the hair to be smooth and silky. One of the primary constituents of wild cherry bark is prunasin.

DIRECTIONS: REJUVEN™ Regrowth Treatment is a water-based formula that is easy to use, odorless, and dries quickly. Apply topically to the scalp and hair once or twice daily. For optimal results, use before bedtime. Apply enough treatment to lightly dampen the scalp, then gently massage liquid into the scalp and hair using fingertips. Style as usual.
